Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

Este álbum já cá deveria estar há muito mais tempo, mas entre adiamentos e esquecimentos lá foi passando. Afinal de contas trata-se daquele que é considerado um dos melhores álbuns de 2008, não só pela critica especializada, mas também pessoalmente, pois foi do melhor que ouvi, e onde apenas encontro paralelo no “40.02” dos nossos peixe : avião.

Fleet Foxes, é uma banda de Seattle, formada por Robin Pecknold, vocalista e guitarrista; Skye Skjelset, guitarrista; Casey Wescott, tecladista e vocalista; Joshua Tillman, baterista e vocalista; e Christian Wargo, baixista. Outros instrumentos como o Bandolin e o piano são utilizados, empregando às músicas melodias mais brilhantes com elementos de folk e rock.

“Fleet Foxes” está revestido de músicas com instrumentais bastante intensos e coro de vozes harmoniosas, de tal forma que é capaz despertar sentimentos e sentidos. O encarte, com enfoque para o tipo de vida do meio rural durante a era medieval, traduz também ele de forma genial o significado que as músicas querem transmitir. É por isto, e acima de tudo, por ser uma lufada de ar fresco na música alternativa, que Fleet Foxes merece o lugar de destaque que possui actualmente.

Deste álbum destaco as faixas “Quiet houses” e “Blue ridge mountains”, mas todo ele merece uma audição completa e cuidada.
